Carter came off as a jealous prick all day yesterday. It's evident he hates the Patriots. Seemed pretty self righteous about deflategate. Used the word integrity and respecting the game. This from a coke head who never won a damn thing in his pro career. Dilfer came right at him and shut down his arguments.

I'd love to hear one of these examples. I could be wrong, but I can't remember any cases where teams broke rules outside of the field of play and review of officials and weren't chastised.

He said teams play games with the injured reserve constantly, which opens up spots for other players and allows you to "keep" players you might not get through waivers. Talking to players about previous teams and tendencies things like that.

CC is an arrogant azz**** ..He don't like NE , is down on Bellycheck , and is running his agenda to discredit ... BTW , latest news updates from NFL on the deflated balls reports only ONE ball was more than "just a few ticks" off the 12.5 psi level ( completely insignificant), NOT 11 as originally reported..
..also btw . CC was no angel when he in the League ..

CC doesn't have a Super Bowl, therefore he doesn't think anyone is worthy.

He is bitter about his lack of championships and it is painfully obvious.

Dilfer was right and backed his opinion with examples. Cris Carter just babbled and made himself look like a little kid who didn't get his way at the end.

I hate Cris Carter.

I have no idea how or why CC is employed by ESPN as one of their main NFL guys. Dude is borderline ignorant and can barely string together complete sentences a lot of the time.

I'm all for having former players as analysts, and there are a few that are pretty good at their jobs and that I do like/enjoy. But CC is nowhere near that conversation.

I saw that. Unfortunately, too many people hate the patriots and will never accept the facts. Too many people have dug in their heels on this 'controversy' and will claim the NFL is only covering it up b/c Kraft and Goodell are buddies.

Forgive my ignorance, but if ten our of twelve balls are "a few ticks under" the lower limit, and one is signiticantly under...does that not mean that 11 out of the twelve are still under the limit, and thus "underinflated"?

Don't get me wrong, I don't care at all about the whole deflation thing, and think it was a massively overblown situation that the media jumped on to a) create a story, and b) have something to get all pretend outraged over. But at the same time, the balls are either under the limit or over the limit. If they're under, even if just by a little bit, then they count as "underinflated."

Are there any rules being broken? If the rules are poorly written and easily manipulated, that has nothing to do with this issue.

The outrage the last couple of weeks was b/c 11 of the 12 football were supposedly 2 psi below the limit which most people were arguing that was too much to caused by the weather. According to the latest reports, the 12 footballs used by the patriots break down like this...
1 football- inflated within the acceptable range
10 footballs - psi was above 11.5 but below 12.5. This level of deflation was VERY likely caused by the weather as proven many times over the last 2 weeks.
1 football - psi was roughly 10.5 psi. this is the ball that was intercepted by the colts and they noticed the difference and notified the officials.

The point of my original post is that most people will never care about that the under-inflated balls are explainable (all except the one that made it to the colts sideline). 5 years from now, people that hate the patriots will be using 'deflategate' as an example of why the patriots are cheaters and the NFL went easy on them.

You aren't allowed to just put any Tom, Dick, or Harry on injured reserve to not have to out them through waivers.

Dilfer was dropping truth all over him and Carter was getting all pissy. It was great.

Carter kept referring to Brady using balls (plural) that were 10.2 PSI.

I am confident he has nothing to back that up.

Sure you can. Not every IR player is a scam, but I'd bet close to 10% (one out of every ten guys) on IR is somebody a team is wanting to look at longer, and in theory could play somewhere else by week 4.

Technically, that is breaking NFL rules.
