The rants favorite basketball announcer has lymphoma but is determined to stay on the air with the recent announcement of Will Wade collecting another 5 star.

Maybe he'll use his charity money to actually help a cancer patient instead of to help Duke buy players now.

Dislike him terribly but wish him absolutely nothing but the best as he fights his cancer.

This is the only acceptable response.

I don't wish bad health on the guy, hope he beats it and sounds like it was caught early enough

If anyone knows the sleaziness in college hoops it's him
He lived it as a coach back in the 80's until he was fired
He knows damn well what the sport has done over the years in recruiting and all his buddies like Cal and Boeheim and K and Roy Williams are all as dirty as they come
Don't act like a fool and think Wade is the worst thing to ever hit college hoops
The sport has been dirty for a long time and he's been a big part of it covering it for as long as he has
He's made a nice little living off all his diaper dandies

Uh, lymphoma is one of the top 10 most common cancers.

When you come for the general you come heavy or not at all.

In all seriousness, speedy recovery

I heard somewhere that the jabs weaken one’s immune system. Hank Aaron and Colin Powell can commiserate with Dickie V over this

I wonder if they mean't having a rare type of lymphoma. That said, it sounds like they caught it early and have a good treatment plan in place. Prayers for a speedy recovery. Don't wish cancer on anyone

Hopefully he beats cancer but I would be something if he kicks it and never sees Will Wade getting hammered like he’s predicted for the last 3 years.

I hope his doctor convinces him otherwise... for the sake of recovery of course.

I can't stand him as an announcer, his schtick went bad 30 years ago.

But now this quote is gold.
