Derrick Henry is 10th in yards and 4th in TDs all time.

Where does he finish as an all time back when he retires?

You should give us the numbers so we can discuss instead of having to independently research how many TDs and Yards he is back

Just spitballing, when I sit and come up with a list of whom I think of how the best all time NFL RBs rank, I come up with currently two tiers, in no particular order within said tiers at this time:
B Sanders
J Brown
W Payton
E Smith
E Dickerson
E Campbell
F Harris
OJ Simpson
T Dorsett
L Tomlinson
D Henry
M Faulk
A Peterson
That makes 13. I’m feel pretty good about that Top 13. Probably depends how Henry finishes up his career on if he gets viewed as a Top 5 or so RB. Walter Payton defied the usual RB turning 30/31 odds and kept performing at an All Pro level after that age. Can Henry? I believe he’s now 32 years old.

Not sure where he will finish, but if you ask me "who's the one RB you wouldn't want to tackle running full speed", he'd be #1.

But I watched some Adrian Peterson highlights last night and I don’t know how anyone can be considered much better than that guy.

He ran for almost 1600 yards and 16 TD's last year. In 2024 he went for 1900 yards and 16 TD's. That's crazy for a RB in years 9 and 10 when most elite RB's have fallen off a cliff by that point in their careers. I'd expect some slight drop off with all the years of wear and tear on him, but I think he can catch Sanders for 4th in yards and make a strong run at LT for 2nd in TD's. That's a strong case for top 3 all time back behind Payton and Barry

He will be 6th or 7th in yards at the end of this year and probably 3rd in touchdowns after a week or two.

Henry is 32, and will turn 33 in January.
Walter Payton had a 1,500 yard season at 32yo, then followed that up with 1,300 yards at 33yo. Then dropped off a cliff. Payton was also a completely different type of RB, smaller and quicker.
John Riggins had a much more similar frame and style as that of Henry. Riggins gained 1,300 yds as a 34yo, then 1,200 at 35yo, then the falloff. However, the seasons preceding that late career production were unique.
1980 (31): DNP due to a contract dispute
1981 (32): Split carries with Joe Washington resulting in a decreased workload of only 200 touches.
1982 (33): Stike shortened season, resulting in only playing 8 regular season games. However, he was a workhorse in the playoffs, averaging over 30 attempts and 150 yards in 4 games.
1983 (34): 375 atts / 1,350 yds
1984 (35): 327 atts / 1,200+ yds
