I was afraid of something like this. He was on pace to carry the ball 465 times, eclipsing the old record of Larry Johnson by nearly 50 carries. In 16 games he would have been at 438, still breaking that record by more than 20 carries. With playoff games, he would have eclipsed 500.

This injury, strangely enough, might extend his career. At that pace, he would’ve had 3-4 good years left at the most, with slightly declining numbers along the way.

Not worth much

This season Henry is averting 2.3 yards before contact and 2.0 yards after contact for his total of 4.3 yards per carry

Chubb is 2.8 before and 2.7 after for 5.5 yard per carry

Taylor is 2.9 before and 2.5 after for 5.3 yards per carry

Fournette is 2.4 before and 2.0 after for 4.4 yards per carry

Jones is 2.3 before and 2.1 after for 4.4 yards per carry

Do I need to keep going? Henry wasn’t having a season like his previous two this year. He was slightly above average this year

Jesus Christ. I can’t talk in Henry threads? Get a fricking grip. I’m not celebrating an injury, I’m talking about his production this season l. If you can’t handle that leave the thread

It really is remarkable what’s happening here. When Henry has a good week, there are 4 threads minimum started, most with troll posts to me. I post in them, don’t run, and discuss how I view his performance. When games like the last two weeks happen, it’s crickets. No big deal, I don’t feel the need to make a thread

Now Henry gets injured, which sucks to see anyone get injured, and y’all throw temper tantrums towards me? Sack up people

I knew when I woke up this morning and the Titans were #1 in the AFC that the universe was out-of-balance and a big steamy dump was gonna be dropped on my hopes in some capacity. That's just life as a Titans fan.

And part of why Henry has been getting an absurd amount of carries this year because his backups keep getting hurt. He'd still lead the league in rushing attempts regardless, but he's got no one who can actually share the workload behind him, particularly in the 1st half of games.

I want to see the Titans be serious and offer up at least 2nd rounder for a suitable replacement in a trade by tomorrow. It won't happen but some guys I'd love to land:

David Montgomery
Alexander Mattison
Tony Pollard
Marlon Mack (def won't happen because frick the Colts)

Of course, we'll probably sign Adrian Peterson or Tory Gurley.

Dude help me out here, I know you can be a reasonable guy.

By your own count, his yards before contact were a FULL 2 yards less per carry in those two games. How's that not worth much as an argument against his performance being terrible in those games (which was the point of your original post with his stats)?

The RB obviously has an impact on that (vision). But it's still relevant.

My point is, when every other running back has a bad game, not a single person is digging to justify “why”. I would almost guarantee it’s for similar reasons as above. Same reason when a running back has a great game, nobody goes to check and see if it was because the line cleared the way, he simply gets credit

These things average out over time, which is why we just take in the running backs stats.

Jesus. Don’t double down on stupidity

Roll with a RB for cheap and go. Offering a 2nd rounder after already having a shite ton of money tied up in the position would be a terrible idea

Are you familiar with how poor the Titans have drafted in the past few years? Pretty much all of our 1st rounders since 2017 may as well be thrown in the toilet.

Running back by committee with a FA veteran and a decent trade would keep defenses honest and give Tannehill roughly the same chance to get the ball to AJ and Julio. Henry needs a serviceable backup anyway so the Titans have plenty of options to free up cap space to keep one on the roster to help Henry.

Defense's were looking for Henry to get the ball on virtually every play. He's the best in the league, regardless of ypc, etc.

It’s more of a potential Jones Fracture, from what I’ve read.

Guilty. Hate it for him, I love seeing players just completely dominate.
