The perk is that he gets to go to every home game for free and be part of the show. He's basically a motorcycle cheerleader in that sense.
Most ppl who have never worked in sports don't understand just how many ppl you see at ballgames are only seasonal, 1099 type workers.

Rocky almost died in that stunt, or at least that is the story they tell up here. He is awesome. He throws the ball over his head from half court at every game and I have never seen him need more than 5 tries to make it in. People here love him. I was just at the championship parade where folks hollered just as loud for him as they did for most of the players.

ESPN can show the WNBA and keep making it 2nd or 3rd story on Sportscenter but it don’t matter…. Borderline unwatchable and ratings reflects that. Ratings drives advertising dollars. TV money drives salaries.
If the NBA and ESPN wasn’t continuously propping it up most teams would have been bankrupt a decade ago.

You're probably right. But that is the mascot they should have chosen. And not the one they went with. I loved watching that guy in the midevil costume driving his bike through the smoke before Vikings games.
