Delaware recently completed a first phase of $60M in upgrades to their stadium. Not too bad of a facility i suppose. Delaware gets solid fan support. Good addition for CUSA

Along with Kennesaw St joining CUSA next season...Delaware will become the 11th member of CUSA. It makes you wonder if CUSA will bring in additional programs to get to 12-14 like every other conference?

CUSA:

Liberty (12-0)
New Mexico St (10-3)
Delaware (9-3)
Jacksonville St (8-4)
Western Kentucky (7-5)
Middle Tenn St (4-8)
FIU (4-8)
LA Tech (3-9)
Sam Houston St (3-9)
UTEP (3-9)
Kennesaw St (3-6)

But are the Blue Hens aware that they won’t be eligible for post-season play for a few years? Apparently other teams recently were not.

Delaware on it's own isn't bad as an add.

That conference is a geographic nightmare now though

Wish Tech was in the SBC they fit the geographic footprint and are natural rivals with a lot of the teams.

Plus id love to knuckle check some Techsters

Fun fact about the University of Delaware is that there’s an exit in Maryland off of the Interstate that’s for UD. To a poster above, I remember tolls from 10-15 years ago driving through. Also, FJB.

Hmm. My grandfather played football, baseball, and ran track for Delaware. Long long time ago.

G5 is going to get a lot of schools from 1AA(it will always be 1AA)

Lindenwood out of a suburb in St.Louis has moved all of their sports to div.1, except football, went from division 2 to div1aa, not sure waiting period for NCAA to go to Div1, but it's their plan, and they have nice cash boosters, who built them a new bball arean, upgraded the football, etc

Sources: Conference USA is expected to add Delaware as a new member for the 2025-26 season
I'd be pissed considering the NCAA abruptly increased the application fee to FBS from $5k to $5 million just a month ago. Some of the better FCS programs really don't won't to get left behind.

Watching this Montana game in 30 degree weather. I think some of those Midwestern-Northern schools will make the jump to FBS at some point. Montana (the state) seems like it’s growing.

Would love lower quality FBS to drop down. FCS is a good format.

Lol! Delaware roads are perpetually under construction! The tolls go to pay for Hunter’s hookers and blow.

Joe Biden Stadium is gonna be lit on Saturdays when Louisiana Tech comes to town. Hunter is pumping money into the stadium with all of the bribes he’s taken from Ukraine. Expect Delaware to join the ACC in the near future.

Those Tuesday night volleyball flights from Las Cruces to Newark are worth it for that sweet sweet G5 football money,

I'd like Southeastern fans( whose program shut down for nearly 2 decacades) explain to us the FCS money. The benefits of remaining in FCS?
