Travis Hunter should be kicking his own arse for buying into "Prime's" pitch. Dude has cost him MILLIONS!

This is dumb. Hunter will be a top pick in 25

He would be a household name if he went to a real program, with real coaching and elite players surrounding him. He had that opportunity and went with the hype instead. He had offers from most, if not all, the teams in the playoffs!

They went from 1-11 (1-8 Pac 12) to 4-8 (1-8 Pac 12). Congrats, he did the EXACT same thing Mike MacIntyre did there in his first year.

A freshman tackle and four other guys that have never played together. What could go wrong?

We went through this already.
You'd be a fool to ignore all context to say 2013 and 2023 were "exactly" the same. This time period of recruiting and transfers is where we see all the other factors pay off.

See your logic out -- 2014 recruiting class ranked 74 (247). No 4 or 5 stars. Not that class rankings and stars are exactly on or what it's all about, but it does give a general indication of top-end talent. That 2014 class wasn't good in retrospect.
Colorado's record in 2014 was 2-10.

Sounds to me like MacIntyre had to keep all the guys that went 1-11 the year before while Prime benefitted from being able to run them all out and bring in supposed Louis luggage.

This just shows that you know nothing about Colorado football. The 2022 team was perhaps the worst football team ever fielded at the FBS level. Lost by an average of 29 points.

This year, they lost by an average of something like 6 or 7 points. And if you actually watched any of the games, you would know they lost games because they probably had the worst offensive line in football. If you replaced that offensive line with average players, that team was a pretty good team.

Let it play out. 7 wins is probably the floor for Colorado this year.

The no1 ranked OT and the kid from Houston are both legit. Don’t know much about the others.

But yet, YOU contributed to one of his accomplishments and that is to have you TALKING about Colorado football. Before he arrived, I am willing to bet, you didn't even know who the Colorado football coach was. So, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Good for them

Fired OC
Recruiting all offense players…”we know what Shedeur needs”

They plan on addressing the 129th ranked Defense?

16 recruits / transfers
4 are defensive players. Only 1 of 4 defensive player committed since June 3rd.

I don't believe I mentioned a football team.

132nd in sacks allowed

No

Their defense was absolute trash. If you watched the games, you would know that.

Total D - 129th
Rush D - 110th
Pass D - 127th
3rd down - 124th
Scoring - 122nd

* they fired the OC and have gone heavy on offensive recruiting. 4 out of 16 current recruits / transfers are on defensive side. Only 1 defensive commit since June. They are all in on upgrading the offense. “We know what Shedeur needs”.

They were also one of the most penalized teams on offense & Defense. Not well coached or disciplined.

130th - 9p/gm

What?

He was one of the most talked about players in the country. Not even sure how much bigger of a household name he could be.

Since the day he committed at JSU. College db's aren't typically " household names". Hunter is a guaranteed 1st rd pick barring injury or off the field issues even if he had remained at Jackson.

The young man at Iowa( DB) is probably the only other " name" db most fans can recognize.

Well, he did hire a guy with zero on-field coaching experience to be his OL coach, so obviously this group probably is going to have a good chance of coming together.

and fired the best ACTUAL coach he had on staff

I love how news like this makes the sycophants come out of the woodwork "see! Deion is righting the ship! He's a recruiting fiend!" while ignoring the fact he hasn't proven he can coach a lick.
