Truly incredible stuff

Fox was awful. Mitch was awful. Dylan Harper needs the car keys from here on out.

I'm not defending him, but 2 of the first 3 plays he passed the ball and it looked like could have been blamed on the other player. Feels like Wemby should have made himself more available and players should be looking for the ball when they are running up court. That doesn't seem like an absurd notion

Looks like Sorsby got to him at halftime.

Forget all the other stuff - Taking that layup at the end of the game is just unforgivable

Fox is the PG
unless he is being trapped, he should not be looking to give up the ball right there
it is his job to bring the ball up and get them into their offense

In the NBA the PG does not always initiate, how could you possibly know the play call

Their coach surely thought going with a veteran would better than a rookie.

And it bit him in the arse

If he doesn't go for the layup, he could have drained a few more seconds before a foul and likely won it for SA. A game and potentially series-losing mistake to go for that layup.

Said it in another thread but watching it I said I thought there was some point shaving or manipulation going on between Fox and the help of the refs. He doesn’t make mistakes like that like ever.
Spurs will look back at this and kick themselves for blowing a major opportunity. They could easily have swept the Knicks if they had not mistakes their way into losses. It’s more to me that the Spurs are losing these games more than the Knicks are winning, if that makes sense.
Sit Fox and more Dylan for shite sakes.

Still doesn't excuse his teammates from not even looking for the ball at all.

Again he sucked for sure, but his teammates weren't even acting like they knew a basketball game was going on

Yup. Anunoby fouled him, but that was such a dumb play, he did not deserve to get the whistle. You will almost never get that call late. Also, people are calling that a "chase down block"; Anunoby was a step behind Fox, and Fox did not have control of the ball until just before the layup attempt. Idiotic, and the Spurs got what they deserved.

Johnson continuing to stick with Fox over Harper should be studied.

Josh Hart should send Fox a nice gift basket as a thank you. He would have been vilified today if the Knicks lost at the end.

No reason to try the layup. His “horribly timed turnover” penchant has reared its ugly head a lot.

Better idea not to go for the layup, but does he not clearly get fouled on the play?

His hesitation caused OG to run through his body as he’s laying it off the glass in what’s usually an automatic whistle.
