Well I think this might be it. I think Te'o is done. It's been proven that the absolute BEST case scenario (for Te'o) is that he didn't find out until 12/6 BUT THEN KEPT THE LIE ALIVE ON HIS OWN FOR 3 WEEKS.
That is the best case scenario
Much more likely, he knew way way way earlier and he's a pathological liar and gigantic headcase with emotional issues. NFL gms and coaches don't want none of that shite.
The tim tebow/jets locker room would look like the happiest place to work on earth compared to the media frenzy that will surround any locker room that Te'o is a part of next year.

Then who tipped off Deadspin to start looking into this story? I feel that ESPN knew but decided to sit on the story. However someone just couldn't let this go unreported and tipped off someone at Deadspin to start looking into this mess.

Yea, IMO this was them trying to sound like they took the "high road" over their competition, Deadspin.
It's widely known that ESPN hates Deadspin following the Favre dick pics and will do anything to thwart their popularity.

Not disagreeing with you but ESPN said Deadspin about 100 times today while giving them credit for the story. Without a doubt gave deadspin tons of page views.
