Has there been some confirmation of this? I mean, I know that we all know this is true, but are some voters actually admitting to this?
Some guy on Mike and Mike admitted it this morning. Teddy Greenstein, maybe?

1 death would of done the trick.
Nahhh. Everybody his age loses a grandmother. He would've gotten very little publicity for that.
But losing a grandmother then 2 hours later losing the love of your life to leukemia is a big human interest story.

Then SVP is right - there was an end game and he wasn't the victim here. NFL teams would want to do a full mental evaluation of the kid if thinking about drafting him.

I've heard two on ESPN today say this verbatim.

Thus making him complicit in this whole thing.
Of course. He didn't concoct the whole plot, though. I think he truly thought the girl died, embellished his relationship with her afterward (what did he have to lose? she was dead), and couldn't stop the snowball.

4 hours. Get your made-up facts straight.

This may be true but by embellishing the truth and lying about aspects of their "relationship," he automatically loses the title of victim.

Yeah I think that's my point. This dude seems like he'd be willing to do anything just to frick someone over
waiting for more victims to come forward. Lets see if anyone donated money to help the "sick" little girl

It also makes it very difficult to believe that he didn't have a hand in the whole thing.

Of course. There's also a chance, and a small one, that he could have been embarrassed that he was so emotionally connected to a girl he was talking to a few times a week on the phone and online, so he exaggerated afterward. He could be that weird. I don't know.

the embarassment of carrying on and disgracing the memory of a real (assuming he thought she was real) girl who had died on national tv and in front of her family.
but no need to worry about that, Manti knew that the bitch wasnt real, therefore no family, and no embarassment to worry about. just kill her off and tell the media the family wants privacy. FAIL

What girl, though? How could he have thought she was real? No instagrams, no skype, no facetime, etc?
And he didn't think a real girl's family and friends would object to him making a huge story out of nothing? They wouldn't care about fake trips to Hawaii, roses that never got sent anywhere, etc?

Exactly. If she was real, and his relationship was strictly over the internet we would have heard about this from someone in the GF's family back in the fall.

Anyone who believes that manti wasn't in on it from its inception is a fricking moron

All good points, which is why I think he either a) was a willing participant in the hoax or b) was completely clueless about it being a hoax.

Andre Ware just said the adversity Te'o had faced had a lot to do with how he had voted.

Just watching Manti speak, his body/facial language just makes me feel like I'm watching Tiger Woods.
Calculating. Articulate.
For some reason I just get that vibe.

If he killed her off as a means to an end of the lie, ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TURN DOWN OFFERS TO INTERVIEW ABOUT HER.
He didn't have to speak in front of the students at a pep rally, he didn't have to do 300000000 interviews. He could've said "I don't want to talk about it. Its over"
