And Notre Dame did not do themselves any favors with that statement. They've known for 3 weeks and not done nearly the investigation that Deadspin has done in that same time frame. Nor have they read the article. Mantei has been in on it for at least a few months and now hes trying to say he just figured it out in December?!

well since ND has already put out a statement that Te'o is the victim of a hoax, its already been confirmed the girlfriend didnt exist.
But its just impossible to believe he was fooled b/c he claims to have met her several times, talked to on the phone for hours, and sent flowers to her funeral.
