I didn't say it was a fair compromise.

All these years of ridicule but then 2020 happened and Ryno's doomsday predictions have come true. Y'all best get right and start listening to his prophecies.

No way.

There is absolutely no way in hell MLB allows the Astros win 32 games. They sure is hell won’t be able to win 42.

Yes and Urquiduy were placed on the 10 day IL. No disclosure but Dusty says it's a condition that prevents them from reporting to the field.

Josh James and Joe Smith still haven't reported to camp either. James is said to be dealing with a family matter and is supposed to report soon. Smith is said to have concerns about health and safety and hasn't decided if he's going to play.

Josh James has reported to camp. Was away for the birth of his daughter in Florida.

Also there's an instraquad scrimmage about to start right now streaming on Facebook and Twitter. Be prepared though, there's no sound, no graphics, like 3 camera angles that miss the play from time to time.

Astros injuries:

Brad Peacock: Right shoulder inflammation

Ryan Pressly: Right index finger blister

Austin Pruitt: Right elbow inflammation.

All three day-to-day

Not ideal. Urquidy is still away from camp for undisclosed reasons, (likely covid). Pruitt or Peacock would have figured to penciled in as starters if Urquidy isn't ready. As it stands...

Verlander
Greinke
McCullers
James
Framber?

Austin Pruitt (elbow inflammation) said he is "coming along real nice." He did acknowledge that he is "behind" and will probably not be ready for opening day. Pruitt's elbow soreness stems back to spring training, he said. An MRI revealed a bone bruise.

The #Astros placed reliever Joe Smith on the restricted list while he decides whether to opt out or play. The move was made as the team manages its roster. Dusty Baker has said Joe has not reported out of concerns for the health and safety of his family.

Idiotic to waste a year of his control on this shite sandwich of a season.

Wouldn't hate it. I'm still guessing it'll be Framber for now. Also, its looking likely that Smith will opt out. That's a ding to bullpen depth. It looks like it'll be

Abreu
Biagini
Peacock
Devo
Pressly
Osuna

We don't even know what control will mean until the next CBA. They're probably going to end up using him regardless due to need so might as well use him as a starter to see where he's at.
