Per Rosenthal our players were one of 4 teams along with NYY, NYM and STL to vote against.

Yea saw that.
Castro was on the executive committee and I'm pretty sure LMJ is the player rep.

Correct. Executive committee voted 8-0 against and Lance has been vocal against the owners in all this.

I saw that... it might be enough to make me rethink this whole, "My Toronto Blue Jays" thing while FODB is still driving the Astros team bus.
Certainly a dilemma -- temporarily embrace a club that is willing to sign Biagiani or keep up my lifelong passion of rooting for the Astros despite FODB?

If it’s any consolation, I don’t like the circumstances which led to Dusty becoming and remaining manager, but outside of a relief pitching decision in one game, he managed a good World Series.

Transactions unfreeze tonight. As far as what we still need in my opinion
For sure: At least one other reliever, preferably two
For sure: OF of varying quality who can play CF (maybe just 4th OF type). Even just a depth option that can hold over until Meyers is back
Maybe: Some fringe utility option that can play a competent SS (maybe just a minor league deal). I haven’t seen everything with the CBA but it didn’t like the service time stuff was totally fixed. I’ll be interested to see if they try to hold Pena down if he looks like the best option at SS

I think we sign Correa now
Always held out hope, but not at the expense of our competitive advantage
He wants to stay in Houston

Correa is about to sign with the Astros for 8/$260M and an opt out after 4 years.

Maybe a bit more than I expected, but fair if he stays healthy
Give him a 4 year option with a team 6 year option

Is this just your speculation or is there smoke?

I 100% made that up, but I also think it's a reasonable deal.
