Said they haven’t seen MLB’s offer, but that union is more than willing to stay and talk past that deadline. As they have been all along, union adamant that the deadline tactics hurt, not help (one reason they paused things last night to make sure they weren’t hurried into it)

Passan saying unanimously no deal from the union

Both sides are to blame and it's going to be the death knell of the game. Been a huge MLB fan my whole life. 46 years. I remember 81, 94-95, and this does it. No more games. I'm cancelling MLB Extra Innings. I usually buy a couple MLB hats , shirts, etc. every few months. I'm fing done. Finished. Nice job Manfred and Tony Fing Clark.

The whole situation is colossally stupid

Lance posted this and then apparently nuked his Twitter

It’s mind blowing these dudes legitimately caused these issue & continue to lie about it. Walk out on us in Dallas. Lock us out. Don’t speak to us for 6 weeks. Take weeks at a time to respond to our proposals. Clearly don’t care about fans, baseball or the game. It’s exhausting

As much as I genuinely enjoy baseball, I've never watched a lot of regular season college baseball. Until the ESPN+ stuff it's been more difficult to watch, games prior to MLB season are generally uninteresting OOC stuff and then once the MLB season starts, that's what I'm more interested in.
I may start watching LSU baseball more frequently this season.

Do we at least get to have back to back AL Champs Shirts?

This is for the best honestly. The fewer games baker manages the better.

I think the college world series is one of the most underrated events out there but i hardly pay attention anymore now that i am not living in BR.
Having all the games on Hulu is pretty easy for me. I have already caught a few innings

There are so many great options in Louisiana and Texas for college baseball viewing so this ain't so bad.

Had a thought in the other thread about MLB banning shifts in 2023...hate the idea but if it happens Ted and Yed are going to absolutely feast. Easily .300+ hitters it you give them a hole between 1st and 2nd.

Watching LSU play at MMP right now. Bittersweet.

Bough tickets for the Bama basketball back in December and been pumped to go to that. Now it’s a Will Wade shite show. Definitely made the wrong decision

To fill the time, here's a classic Astros game from a NBC Game of the Week in early 1981.

Hey, the 9th inning was pretty cool, especially for a team that didn't hit many home runs period. We went to the playoffs and the Pirates did not.
Also, earlier in the video was a live breakaway to Tom Seaver's 3000th strikeout.

Y'all see Romes story the other day? I hadn't really thought about it but every player on a 40 man roster is part of the union and subject to the lockout restrictions. Meaning any of our minor leaguers we added to the 40 man this year aren't able to go to minor league camp in Florida and won't be playing minor league games when that season starts on time. Jeremy Pena is among those
