I had labrum surgery 17 years ago. Recovered to full strength after about 5 months where I could lift any kind of weight over my head again. Probably only recovered about 75% of my range of motion. I have never attempted to throw a ball as hard as I can since then.

He may recover but likely won't be able to play cf again with reduced arm.

Hell, since the day I got injured, I have not been able to lift my arm over my head without using my other arm to help pull it up. Don't even think about lifting any weight overhead. Now, up to about horizontal it's fine. But the higher I try to raise up, the less weight I can have.

Strom to the Dbacks

When he made the comment about another opportunity I figured it was one close to home. I was thinking SD instead of Arizona

I mean the replacement will be the assistant pitching coach who Strom mentored. I thought Strom was retiring or stepping back in level of involvement. Poor look that he left to be pitching coach in another organization

The guy would rather watch a 110 loss team than watch Dusty Baker manage.

I’ve had similar thoughts.

Poor look on who? Astros or Strom?

quote:

“Me leaving the Astros had nothing to do with any disagreements or anything like that. Just a gut feeling on my part that eight years was long enough. It’s really in good shape with the people they have now.” He also heaps praise on Astros skipper Dusty Baker, calling him “as good a human being as I’ve ever been around in my life.”

Uhhh... Strom leaving the Astros because of Dusty, [confirmed].

"As good a human being as I've ever been around in my life."... that's some bull shite right there. I'm talking Flaming turds... right out of the bulls pulsating arse hole.

Y'all need to go ahead and get on my TorontoDetroitMiami train. Call it the Daily MarlinsBJTigers thread.

This is correct.

"As good a human being as I've ever been around in my life." Translation: "He's a good guy, but he can't manage a baseball team to save his life."

Strom was adamant not to start Garcia on 3 days rest. That was only 1 of the issues but a final straw.
