So with Sale gone, which pitcher will we go after? Trade for Archer or Quintana? Sign Nova or Hammel? Sign Edwin and complete our massive signings for offense? Interested to see what we do next. Would have loved Sale and it sucks he's going to the Red Sox, but I'm glad we didn't give up Bregman or Springer for him.

Projected AL West standings via @fangraphs: Astros 91-71, Angels 85-77, Mariners 85-77, Rangers 82-80, A's 78-84.
Considering where the Angels project, I don't see how this works.

Angels at 85-77? LMAO I know it's obviously projections, but how?

Yeah, I saw that earlier and felt it was fantasy-land arithmetic.
I'm torn. I don't know if I'd rather have the Rangers sink like a rock and be out of it by the 1st of August, or would I more enjoy seeing them fight and scrape, only to fall short the very last week of the season?
Regardless, I'm just looking forward to another season of Albert Pujols missing the playoffs. (I feel badly for Trout though).

Congrats on the off-season division champs again Stros. Maybe the Astros can get home field advantage in Spring Training this year.

Are you watching it? If so could you give us a summary of what he said?

Blah blah blah I like the additions that we've made to improve the team. We may not be finished, but I don't think that we'll mortgage the future of this team blah blah *

Doesnt believe Astros are still in on EE (sorry DATers). Expects Beltran to play a lot of LF. Believes Dallas bounces back (compared it to Kluber not being as effective after his Cy Young year but bounced back last season - thinks Dallas does the same). Gave high praise to Chris Devenski and mentioned he might make the rotation. Giles will be closer. Harris & Gregerson might be mixed up a bit and pitch in different spots as needed. Mentioned Reddick possibly batting 2nd vs RHP. McCain likely bottom 3rd (McCain joked he has never hit that low in his life).
Yep, he pretty much danced around the topic of if we are trying to add another SP.

I'm expecting a huge year out of Ken Giles this year. I think this is his big breakout season.

What would the consensus be for a Quintana for Tucker Reed Paulino and a lottery ticket?
