So this will essentially be the season of all unwritten rules coming due? Because I am willing to bet this is no different than the steroid era when every mfer was juicing.
What gets me is, if this was such an open secret as it’s claimed to be, why is it only now that other clubs are “outraged?” Why wasn’t retribution being sought before the punishment was handed down? An unwritten rule would seem to be in order for just such a situation. I.e we know you’re breaking the rules so we’re going to take matters into our own hands. Wonder why that didn’t happen?

This is my point, other players have stated that these things have gone on at other clubs.
So why all the faux outrage here, it’s dumb as shite

Because they know Manfred will not investigate any further. They can faux outrage all they want.

Just a reminder to everyone that stealing signs isn’t illegal.
The Astros broke the rules by using electronic equipment. Not for stealing signs.

Stupid fat frick Jomboy still pushing the buzzer shite because Altuve wore an undershirt for the top of the ninth and had it off for his at bat.
This shite he is doing is really really bullshite considering his large following, fuels the idiot mindless social media mob. How many times can he be wrong about this?
Twitter really is a cancer

I gained soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much respect for Correa after today.
Like I said earlier, Bellinger was a whiny, hypocritical piece of fricking garbage. I'm glad someone like Correa shoved that crap back in his face and owned him. Couldn't have said it any better. Even if he plays only 100-110 games again, Correa is on my side.
Bellinger again can go suck a dick.

I haven’t been notified as such but I’m careful to keep the language in check. People are calling for astros to wear em in the ear hole every other comment so not sure what they can do.

Kurt Suzuki a little more quiet after Correa went scorched earth yesterday:
quote:
Suzuki on Correa, #Astros: "Honestly, I’m too old to get in the middle. I really don’t associate myself w/ this kind of stuff. I just kind of go about my business & try to stay out of everything and get ready to play baseball. That’s what it’s about: playing baseball." #Nationals

Suzuki don't want no smoke from Daniella.

Doubt it had anything to do with Correa.
Fact if the matter is that he knows everything has been said time and time again and the punishments have been handed out.
It’s time to move on and play baseball.
But reporters everywhere just want one sound bite so they can be retweeted more than 26 times. This has become more about the reporters than it has the story.
I’ll be glad when the Red Sox punishments are handed down. It won’t be as bad, but it’ll remove some heat off the Astros. But you’ll still have the people defending Boston saying “oh it wasn’t as bad.” Newsflash MFer. Cheating is cheating, right? That’s been the whole narrative this entire time.
Lest we forget that Boston was using Apple Watches to steal signs in 2017. Yet no one brings them up either.

I don’t know if you saw yesterday, but Suzuki said flat out that the Astros cheated in 2019.
Correa blasted him, now he just wants to “talk baseball”

So I looked to see what was being said but I did see this which I hadn’t seen before posted by a non Astros fan. Maybe it’s just been forgotten because somehow the media has conveniently forgotten about the Red Sox in all of this. This is all from the athletic article on the Red Sox
Gotta wonder if that national league gm was in fact the Dodgers
quote:
As technology around the game exploded, teams installed additional cameras around the ballpark as training and scouting tools. Starting in 2018, with paranoia among clubs peaking, MLB mandated that teams catalog and register those cameras with the league to ensure they were used legally. As far back as 2015, the Yankees used the video replay room to learn other teams’ sign sequences, multiple sources told The Athletic. Other teams likely were doing the same. Sources said the Red Sox began doing it no later than 2016. “Oftentimes it takes a player to show up and be like ‘You f—— morons, you’re not doing this?’” said one American League executive.
quote:
“I’m just telling you from a broad perspective, living it, it didn’t feel that wrong,” said one player who used the replay-room system with the Yankees as far back as 2015. “It was there for everyone, that’s all.” Veteran players who were skilled at picking up tendencies by watching on-field action knew what to look for on video as well. “If I could figure out the signs from the telecast, I was not going to hold on to that information,” that former Yankee said. “I was going to share that with whomever.” By 2017, with rules governing electronic sign stealing still lacking the specificity that would come the next season, the Red Sox, Yankees and Astros were all using their replay rooms to help decode sign sequences in some way, sources said. There are indications other teams did so as well. One National League general manager expressed a feeling that it was fair game.

So the Yankees were using the reply room too huh?

The longer this stays around the more info is going to come out because not all media people work for YES or the Dodgers. Someone that doesn't have an agenda is going to find the dirt on the Yankees and Dodgers and other teams that did the same damn thing they are all crying about and then it will be on.
I am not simply an Astros homer here. The evidence is out there on the other teams if MLB wants to find it but they don't.

Hence the thread I started on this scandal not ending how MLB intended.
They will keep pushing, until Beltran and/or McCann open up.
The Untouchables will be forced to accept reality. Their skills were second best in the AL in 2017. And even that may be in question, b/c their system was likely way more productive than the Astros, just based on the numbers alone.
