Think about how much of a fricking nightmare Luhnow's front office has been for Crane's billion dollar asset.

The last year hasn’t been great but I’m guessing Crane is overall pretty pleased with how things have gone since buying the team. I don’t give a shite about Hinch but frick firing Luhnow

Hinch will spend the offseason working as a producer for the Rachael Maddow Show while getting his pubes permanently removed by laser.

And there it is. The establishment thinks Luhnow being smarter than them is “problematic” so they took it out on us. Watch for the kid gloves with the Red Sox and Cora

If Cora isn't suspended for at least one year, Crane should just take Manfred and MLB to court.

Based on what Passan is publishing on Twitter (I assume those are notes from the MLB investigation) I dunno how you can justify giving Cora the same punishment as Hinch. He basically arranged the whole thing and was also doing the replay room stuff in Houston. Then went to Boston and did the replay room deal.

The part about Crane giving Luhnow full oversight to run baseball ops stands out to me. That's why I think he installed his son as team President. He's moving towards more direct ownership involvement in day to day operations.

I would enjoy this for the discovery but I doubt either side wants to open themselves up to that

This is really the only thing I dis-agree with in the report and penalties. Astros actions deserved to be hammered.

The bullshite about the "decisions were made strictly based on data" should not be anywhere in the results of the investigation. The idea that the Astros have a culture that doesn't kiss the media's arse and also other organizations should have absolutely zero bearing on the report, and should not have been included as discussion topics. Basically, it says, "Astros try to win every trade they make, and we just can't have that when the Yankees aren't getting to the World Series every year. We need that extra Big market team exposure."

Curious to see who our GM is now. Taubman was Luhnow's #2. No idea who they replaced him with.

I assume Espada is now our manager. He was a hot name on the market for managers.

It is technically not a year-long suspension for Jeff Luhnow and AJ Hinch. Their suspensions begin today and conclude the day after the 2020 World Series ends.

It is still a massive suspension -- and considering Alex Cora's apparently culpability, his is bound to be far longer.
