I dont know who this guy is but hes verified. Way more than I thought Marwin would get. 18 million a year for Marwin? I like him but yikes.

Heyman is saying there are no truth to those reports

Yeah, that would have to be a 4 yr deal for that kinda money, and still would be closer to an overpay than a great deal.

Bregs video from the day of his surgery
Doctor comes in as Bregs is waking up from the anesthesia..
Doc: Good luck with the season.
AB: Thanks I'm gonna hit 45 homers.
Doc: Yeah you said that. Do you remember you said you're gonna win MVP right before you went to sleep.
AB: I am.

Live look at Ludlow as the off season continues
Spring training games start in a month, the season is a little more than 2 months out. I'm starting to think another bat is becoming more unlikely. I still think we might find another SP but if nothing changes, I'm not sure we got any better from 2018 to 2019.
Marwin essentially becomes Brantley which I suppose is an improvement, though we lose the versatility of Marwin which provides some roster flexibility.
McCann/Stassi/Moldy now looks to be Chorizo and Stassi. Hard to say how much better that is. Mac was hurt most of last year and Moldy/Stassi couldn't hit. Chorizo isnt an impact bat but I guess a better hitter than those guys?
DH again looks to be nothing more than a rotational spot for partial off days. I'd assume White is DH by title but those duties will be split between White, Kemp, Yuli and guys getting days off from fielding. I'm not all that high on White. Didnt think he deserved a spot after 2 hot months followed up by him falling off the map
In the rotation JV, Cole and Jabroni are locked in. So there's 2 spots left to fill. We can probably assume Josh James gets a 4th spot and potentially Framber or Cionel in the 5 spot to get a left handers in the rotation. Losing Keuchel, Morton and Lance really hurts.

Yea I’d say I’d label the off-season a disappointment to this point

One thing we have to be optimistic about is that unknown guys will step up.
Tyler White took a step this past year.
Bregman just a couple years ago earned the spot at 3rd and last year took a huge step to near MVP status.
Tony Kemp stepped up.
Josh James seemingly came out of nowhere.
I am optimistic that there are guys who will surprise and impress this coming year.

Plus Whitley will be HUGE for us in taking a rotation spot by the end of the year, maybe middle, and I expect Tucker to be ready and locked and loaded this time when he gets called up.
