Red Sox talks of picking up Maldanado got me like...

I mean his passed balls during the series contributed a lot to the Red Sox winning. I'm not sure that picking him is the best idea. Sale's slider in the dirt is hard to handle

Home run alley is being turned into an Astros Hall of Fame area

Reid Ryan indicated the team will be less liberal with retiring numbers and that honor will be reserved for Baseball Hall of Famers or players who had long and distinguished careers with the Astros.

The Stros need a reunion with Dallas badly, the one strength for the Astros the past two years has been pitching. Now going into this season counting on rookies is scary no matter how talented they are.

6 prospects on the mlb top 100 (Whitley Tucker yordan josh James Corbin Martin and jb bukauskas)

Gotta hand it to luhnow-we’ve graduated a lot and traded a lot but still have the top tier talent in the system. Other similar situation clubs such as the Yankees Red Sox and cubs only have 1-2 on there

Curious who they traded, they got Cole for what amounts to nothing and I forgot the package they gave for Verlander.
Yankees got hit by 3 of their guys sliding out of the top 100 due to poor performance and injuries

Franklin Perez was the centerpiece for the verlander deal and is still a top 100 guy. Daz Cameron was starting to come on and live up to his draft spot and has seemed to continue that last year.

For Cole musgrove was a former top 100 guy and had a pretty nice season last year

Musgrove was already 25 when the deal happened and had struggled with the Astros for the most part. He was a fine 5th starter in his 100 innings last year.

I still think the Astros should have moved some of these prospects for pitching help or catching help this offseason.

As the Astros have put together a franchise hall of fame, I think its time we consider an inaugural class to the DAT Hall of Fame.

@CraigMish Update : Padres making a late charge for Realmuto. Braves & Marlins staring each other down hoping the other blinks. LA & CIN remain very in. The final chapter of the saga is upon us.

Guess we're finally out of the race. I could really use some good news on the improvement side before Spring Training. Do something, Jeff....

I think this free agent class and the lack of signings has put some serious adjustments on the value of guys like Realmuto.

We are gonna end up with keuchel and be done. It’s what him and wade Miley left on the starter market?

Astros are not out of it. They still feel their standing offer is the leader. Everyone else is trying to work around it.

I bet we could put a good package together for Anthony Davis. He could play left field and steal homers from the Crawford Boxes.

So after all this time we end up with a shitty poor mans keuchel

Just kidding I actually don’t hate the signing cheap veteran lefty to eat innings until Whitley and bukauskas are ready
