Astros dont trade Tucker this offseason.
Tucker gets hurt before deadline nullifying his value

78 win season.

All the favorites in Vegas I would guess, but Tucker being dealt in the offseason has to be getting close to EVEN money and the O/U on wins if Tucker stays and Bregman goes might be at 82-84

You don't have to be a great fielder to play LF in Houston.

So you think they'd move Seiya to LF? He's a career right fielder.

I could see Seiya getting turned around in that left field well area easily.

Everybody plays where the wall ends toward LC

Anybody that plays regularly at MMP or whatever it’s called now can easily cover

Actually it’s a Japanese A/C company. Might help the transition. LOL

So you're saying Suzuki won't have any trouble in LF. He can Nip it in the bud.

“AL” sources?

Alabama? American League?

Who even talks like that any more? I haven’t heard a writer mention a specific “league” source in……

I can’t remember

No Seiya. Paredes, Seiya and a top prospect for a year of Tucker seemed unrealistic but damn that would have helped us offset major losses in the lineup.

We will need an OFer for next year in a bad way but if they get another lower end prospect or two thrown in that’s a pretty good return for a year of Tucker. It’s the right move knowing there is a zero percent chance they keep Tucker

Yeah I think if it’s Parades and Cam Smith we should be happy. Anything else on top of that we should be ecstatic

Seems off to me only b/c both project 3B

It’s a good return, but seems like Smith would get flipped for something that fits our needs now

Not that I think we’re set to compete this year, but Crane isn’t going to make it that obvious

I’m thinking Bregman’s market is softer than he hoped and Astros may have a real shot at having the best offer on the table. Just speculation based on lack of info outside of the Astros current offer being out there and motivation to keep him.

So if you get Parades and put him at first that’s a pretty damn formidable infield but a scary bad outfield.

And I’m fully aware as soon as I put my guess on Bregman out there someone will come in at 7/190 and he’s gone. Just fun to speculate all the possibilities with all these things currently in motion

Just saw this..

quote:

[Milone] Bowden & Phillips on MLB Radio: Astros are waiting on Bregman before they move Tucker, they like Gil over the Cubs’ package, but Cash has not offered him. Cash would trade him and sign Walker Buehler who they have interest in.

Further: "The Cubs offered Paredes and Bellinger to the Astros for Tucker and they said no, Cash is waiting on Hoyer to eat some of Bellinger's money, if not Cash has no problem walking away…Word is Suzuki has a full NTC and will not wave it to go to Houston & Cubs not trading Shaw, Phillies offered Castellanos & Bohm for Tucker, Astros said no, Gil is the guy they want but Cash is reluctant to move him, maybe he offers Schmidt"

So if we were to resign Bregs we'd keep Tuck and run it back one more time? Or does that mean we just wouldn't want Parades and the Cubs would need to alter their package? Sucks about Suzuki not waiving his NTC

It will be softer than 200, but too far north of 156, and won’t age well either way

I think Paredes would fill in sufficiently at 3B, but you have to address OF immediately without Tucker.

So you need an MLB ready OF, or you get a piece that can get you there.
