So lets say it’s Urkel, paired with something like Chas or a prospect.

Who are some potential targets? I’m assuming we’re riding with Maldy until I see otherwise so let’s say 1B or OF.

I don’t even want him playing OF much. And not because he’s a bad OF. I just think the wear and tear on that massive frame will eventually get him hurt.

What about Nimmo in CF?

Or Benny or Peralta in LF?

1B I think Mancini would be fine if they’d let him play everyday and he’s an incredible clubhouse guy. I read an article that mentioned he changed his batting stance to pull the ball into the CB. Might explain why he tailed off. I wish they’d give Bell a look too. CBS sports has Houston as a potential landing spot.

Oh and I just wanted to respond to your post about your Dad from the other day…greatness brother.

The parade was dope. Just seeing a whole city juiced on the Astros for a second time makes all the logistical headaches worth it.

The crowds were huge

If Crane insists on resigning JV, trade Garcia for a really good cost controlled regular. I believe the chatter about Sean Murphy and the A's was legit.

MLB network show with Brian Kenney just brought on some pillow biting leftist "journalist" to put the Astros win in perspective against the cheating. The word cheaters, cheating, justifiable fan anger, this will always live with them, we're said for 10 minutes straight. Drink it up baws. This is the great FU Haymaker ever delivered.

I read a couple articles like that on the Ringer. I could feel the seething through my screen.

Christian Walker is #1 on my list. Unless we can get Mancini or Abreu on a good deal.

ETA: Or Rizzo of course, but I just don't see that happening.

It’s not a perfect comparison, because these Astros have won a lot more than the White Sox from a century ago. But history has a way of reducing complicated narratives to the most remarkable moments, with the most familiar arcs. If baseball still exists in 100 years, if the internet still exists in 100 years, maybe someone reading this column will reflect on whether the Astros actually managed to transcend their scandalous origins, or if my suspicion was right and their other achievements remained as muted as the White Sox’s title in 1917.

Was more of a rhetorical question because it seems like it’s dropped off the map. With takes like that, no I wonder I don’t still read it.

Yordan was invited to the MVP finalists party but he has to pay for his own ticket

Peña wasn't even named an RoY finalist. I guess he'll have to settle for CS/WS MVP.

Google “Houston Astros” on your phone. Nice little Easter egg.
