Well, "on to Cincinnati" was cool til it wasn't. The good ole boys can't seem to win there--the last win in Cincy was when they were still in the NL.

The Astros definitely need a wake-up call when they hit town

In the town noted for it's famous chili, Our Spaghetti tries to continue his incredible run and get things back on the right track.

Daisy Duke is top notch...but Jennifer Marlowe is not far behind...

It's time to go get 'em Astros!

Brother I appreciate the effort but the game is tomorrow. Don't know why they put an off day in the middle of a series but they did.

Well I'll be damned. I thought my Vegas hangover had subsided...no wonder nobody else had started the thread.

I guess they bumped back today's to yesterday so they could play on Labor Day?

I will edit OP and fix tomorrow...

Yeah the Reds traditionally always play a day game on Labor Day. The schedule didn't line up for it this year so they asked the Astros to split the series up.

Also kept the Astros from playing 20 games in a row, which is the max allowed under the CBA. Not that 18 is much better.

If the playoffs started today, rank the five, current starters from most confident in to least.

Framber
Brown
Kikuchi
Arrighetti
Verlander

I’m including all factors, including playoff experience.

Don’t sell a rested Blanco short

There are certain matchups where he can be more effective than Brown and Kikuchi

His changeup plays as well or better than Urquidy’s did

I really don’t want to sell Ronnie White short. I’m taking into consideration his workload this year, and I agree that he can be really effective out of the pen in the right spots. I’m just not sure how much gas he has in the tank.

We’ve seen how vital guys like McCullers Morton and Peacock were in the past coming out of the pen for long relief in October. I don’t think the second leg of a tandem is that big of a downgrade in role, someone like Kikuchi who has never worked super deep will surely need one. We are fortunate to have the depth we have now after how things looked for most of the year

Our SP’s have been damn near historic since the ASB

Framber, Brown, Arrighetti, and Kikuchi

Will be interesting to see how Dana and/or the braintrust handle Framber’s offer with Javier already signed, Garcia in limbo, and Brown-Arrighetti becoming proven

Do they consider signing Kikuchi at a discount to what Framber will command?

I want to ask a Rangers fan what happened to Evan Carter, so I figure the DAT might be the best place to find one if there are any left on Tigerdroppings

Maybe Jim Tiger 72 could help me out?

Switch Spaghetti with Kikuchi. And Blanco easily over Verlander.

Since they shite-canned Servais, the Mariners have gone 5-6, with all 6 losses being by 1 run and 3 of the last 4 losses have been via walk-off.

No pity for Servais coming from me, and he certainly made dumbass decisions, but maybe this wasn't all his fault and has more to do with the fact that their offensive roster is designed so poorly.
