$25m/year seems fair. Wouldn’t go much above that. I think the dealbreaker for Bregman will be contract length

He’ll obviously want to beat Chapman’s deal but it needs to be with AAV, not years. Something like 6/165 should be the max imo.

Same. Chapman is a year older, but the production over the last four years is not dramatically different. It hard for me to see Bregman get substantially more, whether it be AAV or years than Chapman, in Houston or somewhere else.

I know one thing, when Bregman isn't in the lineup, this team is like a ship floundering on a reef. I think Pena's difficulties over the past few months are the pressures revolving around the injuries in the lineup. Whether we like it or not, Bregman succeeded Corea in the leadership role of this team. Pena, Altuve, and Alvarez, while fantastic players are not a Bregman or Corea type leader.
