A really impressive last 1.5 weeks of the season.

I don't think it's out of the question though.

Gonna be tough for him but he will get some 1st place votes. He would need to go off in the last 10 games. To me, him playing over 50 games at ss and playing well there and his consistency each month, number of walks and his being the best player on a team of stars is what puts him over the top.

If he can finish strong, get the AVG above .300, get to 40 HR... he'll get some votes.

He already has more runs and RBI than Trout, and a higher AVG. SB aren't standout for either guy.

I think it's close, but he has to finish strong for the voters to notice.

He probably has to get over .300 and 40 HRs to even have a chance

He will get some backlash due to CYA and ROY already going to Astros

The media is already enamored with Trout, which is fine because he is an elite player.

But the Angels can suck without him just as well as they can suck with him.

Would the Astros still be great without Bregman? Probably...but not AS great.

Without Bregman, the Astros are still a playoff team, and probably even still a division winner. But do they contend for the best record in baseball? Do they even have home field for the 1st round? Very debatable.

Having Bregman is the difference between contending for best overall record vs. just being a playoff team.

To the Angels, having Trout is the difference between sucking and sucking more.

Bregman is my MVP.

It's gonna take a herculean effort from Breg in the next 12 days.
Trout leading the league in OBP, Slugging, Homeruns, and walks is a lot to overcome. But I guess my interpretation of the award is different from others since I don't weigh team success too heavily.

It's out of the question. If Trout was a Marcus Semien type having a career year then Bregman could overtake him. The undisputed best player in the game won't be penalized as heavily as others for missing the last month of the season

I was about to put especially when Trouts having a career year, but this would actually rank as the 3rd to worst year of his career war wise. Trout is just insane

Looks like a Tucker/Reddick battle for the starting spot in the OF? I think it's a real competition, but sadly I think Tucker will have to do a lot to take it from Reddick.

Reddick is a better defender, and if he can stay on this little hot streak for the next 6 weeks, he’s the ticket
