DAT 8/9 Astros (Javier) @ Padres (Vazquez) 7:20pm NBC

Hopefully Javi can keep his good form going, need a starter to get deep in a game. Even after the off day on Thursday the bullpen has been taxed pretty good (and have done an excellent job).
Rangers losing in the 4th
Mariners start in a bit looking to avoid the sweep.
Good booth tonight with Benetti, Jake Peavy, and Blummer. Nice little program to cap off the weekend with hopefully as Astros win and series win.

ESPN has shown Vasquez starting for the Dads all day. Is that not accurate?

If tweet fails to load, click here. Yeah but in a way, bringing back Jake Meyers is really like a trade acquisition in itself. And you see he had two hits in his return to the lineup so we feel like hes going to be a strong addition to the club down the stretch.

Yeah, Dana Brown likes to talk about how the meal gets cooked, but he rarely produces the meal.

Like the guy hanging out near the dumpster behind taco bell at 2am.

Jeez the Mariners get swept. Long way to go but damn they have really shite the bed with that roster in this AL

Outfield today will be Trammell, Varsho and Lamonte. Varsho hitting 7th. Cam not starting.
Need Yordan to go off. And a solid performance by Javier.

What’s the bet tonight Wahoocs?
Posted on 8/9/26 at 7:03 pm to 5 Deep
We haven’t taken 2 out of 3 in San Diego in memory
With that in mind, I bet $50 on Padres last might
Hesitant to back to back it. Had we won last night, I was going heavy on Padres
Still undecided
ETA- I’m sitting this one out. Gonna just have to take the chance that my dick gets stepped on. A semblance of hope. Tigerfan91’s pep talk and all

Couple of well struck balls in the first. Promising.

Daulton Varsho. Professional hitter.
Posted on 8/9/26 at 7:46 pm to jclem11
Varsho had a lifetime HR off him in only a couple ABs I think
Saw it earlier today when shopping props

This OF competition for playing time is going to get intense.

The national broadcasts are always entertaining…during the pregame they talked about ”the hitting pedigree of this Astros lineup.”
I bet Blummer had to struggle to not laugh.
