Where have all our hitter gone?

Lots of them got 1, but almost never in a row. Time for these guys to step it up!

Pena

Bregman

And Hunter Brown...do your job. We need a good 6-7 innings from you!

Will Moldy have to lead the hitting charge again?

You know, the whole Russian theme actually works.

We are the bad guys. Between the sign stealing scandal and just being so dominant over the last 6 years.

Astros are more Yankees than the Yankees now.

Yes, Pena has been the most disappointing, followed by Bregman.

Pena with protection from Tucker has flopped. Should be up the middle and away with a RC approach to allow for the offspeed, yet continues to ground out to the left side with no elevation at all

The worst part about Bregman is that he now has protection from Yed and is getting pitches to hit and flat out fouling them off, even when he times them right. Probably due to an overweight cornea

Classic Dusty to pinch hit for Moldy on the one day he goes 3-3

Normally I would. But you ride the hot hand in that situation, not a slumping Dubon cold off the bench

Brad Doolittle just put Maldy on blast in his ESPN article titled 5 contenders with gaping holes

But he did it as PC as possible.

He points out the difference with the bat when they start as C, but more importantly points out that the pitching is actually better in Diaz starts

Can't believe we actually won 106 games and a World Series with Dusty as manager. Though he actually managed well during the playoffs.

I would take anybody on our bench with a bat over Maldonado

We needed contact there, and Dubon is our highest percentage contact guy versus Maldy as our worst

The fact he got 3 hits yesterday only means his correction to the mean is overdue

He may play over the next 2 weeks and statistically can't get 3 hits over that time.

Maldy is never a hot hand and should always be pinch hit for.

A slumping Dubon >>>>> .170 hitting Maldy

Everyone but Baker knows it, and even he may know it. But it’s not changing until at least the offseason.
