Rita and Katrina came out of the Gulf in 2005 a month or 2 before the Stros won the pennant

Magic number is 19

Also, have a 5.5 game lead on Cleveland and a 6 game lead on Boston for best record in the AL

How is MMP? Any flood issues there?

Doesn't appear to be. Buffalo Bayou is flooding a couple of blocks away but that area of downtown is fine. People are being taken to shelter at GRB.

One issue I've seen at Minute Maid during heavy rain events is drains backing up and flooding inside MMP. No clue if that's happening this go round though.

I know its silly but Bmacs triple was really really nice. I was trying to relieve some emergency staff at my work but unable to due to flooding for the second time today. I was passing families, houses, cars just absolutely trashed and had the game on the radio just really for ambient noise. Was feelin pretty down fellas. It was nice to have something to cheer about I know that it was a meaningless distraction but it was nice to have something to cheer about even if it was small.

We've only lost one game that he didn't appear in.

I guess the "obvious" solution to just flip-flop the two teams series from Houston to Arlington is still a risk because of the chance of rain in Arlington all week from the storm.

Our boy Ryno could probably use some positive thoughts sent his way. From List in the Harvy thread.

Can confirm that Ryno and family have left Sienna and are on route to SA. Probably best to GTFO too.

Mandatory evacuation issued for his area.

Also

. @MLB considering Tropicana Field for Rangers-Astros series and Citi Field for Mets-Astros series, source confims @Ken_Rosenthal report

That could turn into a 19 game road trip for us

3 @ LAA
3 vs Texas somewhere
3 vs Mets somewhere
3 @ Seattle
4 @ Oakland
3 @ LAA

Houston > LA > Dallas > TB? > NY? > Seattle > Oakland > LA > Houston
