...or not. The team has to choose, the DAT can't do it for them. Hinch isn't going to fight for them. Marwin is going really well right now. I predict it's time for a day off for him.

Well lose, they’ve got no fight
Good front runners early on, started coasting and can’t get out of it
Looks like everyone is waiting for someone else to do something

THe panic is real. I really don’t want to get swept by Boston while I’m there.....

Sometime soon the lid is going to come off this pressure cooker.
Two very average pitcher's tonight. We may see a no-hitter.

Yeah, these guys all have off season plans, and have had them prior to the start of the season.
Do yourself a favor and look at all the similarities b/w Boston this year and the Astros last year while you're there.
Then look in the Boston dugout at who's managing them. Obviously, that's not all of it. A lot has to do with desire and motivation, but calling a spade a spade, I'm a Cora guy over Hinch.
And Boston may go through what the Astros are experiencing now next year. And Price might say before the start of next year, "We're not the Astros."
But I'd still take Cora year in and year out.

Over Hinchbot 2000? Surely you jest?

The only difference in Boston and Houston is they signed JD martinez. Period.

Hinch is managing like weve got a 5 game lead. He brings in Tony Sipp pressley and then McHugh in a tie game. What does Servais do? His two best relievers in 8 and 9. Granted he had a lead in the ninth but Diaz was going to make an appearance in a tie game. Trivino made an appearance in what the 5th on Sunday? to try to hold the deficit at 2. Instead of moving James' throwing days around we leave ourselves with a bullpen day today.
No killers instinct. Same old passive Hunch

Matt Adams and Bryce Harper claimed off waivers. Please let us at least be in the discussion for one of these.

Hearing #Astros are calling up Framber Valdez
From the AstrosFuture twitter acct. He's been right on other call ups this year I believe.

Altuve is back, hopefully it rubs off on Correa's bat...

Correa is fricking toast, we might have seen his last great play last year before the injury

Let someone else overpay for his .94 avg

I made a comment toward the end of last night’s thread where I said poor analytics are playing a part in this team’s failure right now. Wahoo correctly assumed I was talking about poor positioning.
Not once but twice last night segura guided a ball right where Correa would normally play on a right handed batter. Hinch had him playing a few steps left of second base.
Left handed hitter Gamel crushed a ball to just right of centerfield that hit right in front of the warning track and bounced over the wall for a ground rule double. Tony kemp was playing in the left center field gap so far away he was still 15 feet away from the ball when it bounced.
Now I get shifting for players who have tendencies to hit towards certain spots. But you can’t pitch away from the shift and expect it to be effective. If you want gamel to hit the ball to left or left center you can’t throw a middle to in fastball. If you want segura to hit it up the middle you can’t throw him inside or over the middle of the plate for him to guide it through the vacated spot the shortstop would normally be playing.
These hits against the shifts are putting a lot of pressure on our defense, a lot of pressure on our pitching staff by creating high leverage situations and high pitch count numbers, all eventually leading to momentum changing innings and losses.

Take a peak at Boston's individual production from their lineup, and compare to the Astros.
If you still think JD Martinez is the only difference, period, then meet me at Conservatory so I can get you properly drunk, instead of whatever state of inebriation you are experiencing now.
Mookie's numbers make Altuve finish a far second in AL MVP voting last year alone.
