I’d give up anyone in the system for Stowers until 2030.
frick prospects for a guy with big league skins and that control

They traded Gausman to the Cubs

Yeah.. seems premature for the Marlins.

I look at the numbers and worry that Stowers is a little too much like Cocksuck as a hitter.

Alvarez is the only guy that I’ll be pissed if they move. I don’t think there’s a player available that would justify it, I realize he’s far away but he’s the first potential star they’ve had in the system a while
I understand Dana is fascinated with acquiring a lefty hitter but he is another that looks unplayable vs LHP as well

That’s a lot of the good red that fits what this lineup is missing
The K and BB sucks but you can supplement that. Already have a good number of dudes who don’t hit the ball hard and K

I'm not saying he isn't an upgrade in our shite outfield, just that his profile means a lot of whiffs while his career RISP numbers are not so hot (.230 AVG and .735 OPS). For reference, Walker is .227 and .743.

I hear ya, and after looking at it I think his numbers last year were warped into my brain didn’t realize how bad he’d been this year. I know he missed some time but I’m for sure over valuing him

The rumor about him and Hicks was interesting. Hicks is having a bit of a breakout year and is under appreciated because he plays for the Marlins. Since dear leader Crane will not allow trades from the roster I’m guessing they’d just carry 3 catchers but he’d be the best one on the roster

What I do like is he's been a much better hitter on the road with the Marlins. Considering Miami's pitcher-friendly park, it makes sense. That's comforting in a trade.

This just blows my mind.
Why would this be such a sticking point with him? Any attempt to improve the roster that isn’t an expensive rental should be on the table. If there was any real fallout from the scandal, Crane’s involvement in the day to day ops was it. For example, regardless of the fact that things worked out in 2022, the nixing of the Urquidy for Contreras trade was objectively bad. Four years later, here we are again.
