Wanted to respond to your Yuli comment. And keep in mind this take is entirely independent of how bad Abreu turned out to be. My feeling at the time was the idiot in charge of the dugout last year would continue to play Yuli over Abreu and that’s why I was ok with not resigning him. He had done it to Mancini just the season before. And again hindsight is 20-20 re Mancini, but Baker more or less refused to play him at 1B until Yuli tore up his leg in game 5. He had a handful of starts but by and large, he played OF or sat the bench. He never seemed to want to play nice to a lot of the acquisitions or call ups. Chas, Mancini, Vazquez, Yainer etc. Regardless of what Chas is now, Baker’s treatment of him last year was inexcusable.

Unlike 95 percent of Rangers fans, a bunch of DAT folks keep following and watching even when there is no reason to follow and watch. And the definition of “done” in the DAT is quite different from other places.

I’m having a hard time buying that.
Seems like we heard that initially when JV went down in 2020.
I know for certain they said that about Trout a few weeks ago. MRI revealed no damage until they announced an MRI revealed a torn meniscus.
