Nice little road trip. It’s a shame that the win streak will be over tonight or tomorrow. Everyone knows damn well we aren’t sweeping the worst team in our lifetimes. Well maybe not Wahoocs. He was probably alive for the ‘62 Mets

Astros are inducting Ken Caminiti into their HoF this weekend. Why? I don’t know. Let's take a look at his averages over 10 seasons in Houston

He was also close with Biggio, and is buried on Biggio’s ranch. Good player but he had his best years when he was completely roided up in San Diego.

I wasn’t around for the Miracle Mets, but spent much of my childhood immersed in baseball history. Read and re-read books my grandmother had and damn near memorized every record.
In the 5th grade I bought the NL Green Book and AL Red Book and contacted every team by mail to say my family was visiting during the summer and could they please send me any info that could help me prepare and enhance our experience.
I still have boxes of team pics, media guides, everything beyond imagination from every team. Some better than others. The mailman thought a baseball phenom lived at our residence.
Back on topic, Caminiti’s biggest contribution to the Astros was helping Biggio and Bagwell get in the HOF, if you know what I mean

They painted to hitters' eye in minute maid darker while we were on the road trip. Curious to see if that makes a difference.
