JV doesn't want a new catcher mid-Cy Young season. Barring injury to Maldy, Vasquez will never start a JV game this season.

Imagine being Trey Mancini
You finally get to be part of a playoff team but the dipshit manager won't put you in the lineup, meanwhile the team you spent your entire career with as an everyday player is among the best records in baseball the last several weeks and is making a run at the wild card.
Where do you think he'd rather be at this point? I imagine it'll be hard for him to not feel like shite about this situation especially in a few weeks when we go to Baltimore.

Seriously, is the owner awake? He has to do something. fricking pussy leadership. The catcher thing is not a big deal right now. Not playing Mancini is madness, whether the regular season record really matters to them or not. It's an insult to a talented veteran and the GM who did the required work to acquire gim.
As for the alleged baseball reasons, the difference on defense between Chas and Dubon in CF is not even in the same universe as the difference between Mancini and Dubon at the plate. If Darth Idiot or anyone else claims otherwise, they are either hopeless stupid or flat out liars.
