A MLB baseball friend who is a casual Rangers fan sent me a text last night. He was watching the Rangers broadcast on Bally.
“Did you see Bregman cheat on the bases? Wow!
“Unbelievable cheating.
Bregman was on first and Tucker hit a high fly to right that carried to the foul line. Bregman rounded second and was halfway to third. Bregman, the cheater, slowly walked back to second and stayed there “like he belonged there”.”
The Ranger announcers were in awe.”
He swallowed the media narrative that the Stros cheat. Silly Rangers broadcasters didn’t mention the balk and that by rule, Alex was “entitled” to second base. They just showed the video and couldn’t figure out why he didn’t go back to first base on the foul ball.
“He cheated!”

We shouldn't forget the Rangers play by play guy is one of those two Kermit the frog sounding guys who weren't good enough for Astros radio.

That was such a bizarre deal with those guys. Milo was the primary PBP guy but didn't do road trips by that point. So those guys who were both PBP alternated games on color and PBP on road trips and then had all 3 of them in the booth at home. I think Milo would do the first couple innings and then come back late. Then they got a couple seasons before they both were fired.
