In an article this morning about which team is in the best shape for October, they include this

It was a strange thing to say. There have been many other years when the Yankees didn't make it either, including in 2019 -- when Jose Altuve hit his controversial, ALCS-winning walk-off home run off Aroldis Chapman to eliminate the Yankees.

It's pathetic.
It's always baffled me how much the media respect falls off for Houston compared to the 3 larger metro cities Chicago, NY, and LA.
Houston is actually on pace to pass up Chicago within the decade if I'm not mistaken.
Astonishing how aggressive they are in terms of trying to brand the Astros as cheaters in 2017 while completely ignoring the Red Sox multiple transgressions and we're not even allowed to speculate on the Yankees involvement.
Feels like the same media garbage the do for politics, but I've heard sports writers are significantly worse than political journalists, if we can even call anyone "journalist" in 2022.

ESPN is one of the most perpetually arse-hurt companies I've seen. A completely unrelated thing happened, and the New York/LA fans at the ESPN offices get petty.
I'm glad they lost the Big 10 and other networks are eating into their status. They "control the narrative" less and less.

The biggest crime Jose Altuve committed was walking off the 27 time World Champion New York Yankees of America. He's probably one of the best people in baseball and doesn't deserve the villain role the media bestowed on him for beating the Yankees.

Catering to the r/baseball crowd. Losers of the worst kind.

You ever here then bring up Corra, who literally brought the “cheating” to the Astros dugout?
Red Sox fans boo Altuve yet support their coach who implemented the whole system (where did he learn it? no one really questions or digs, nor wants to)
it’s all absurd, but the Astros continuing to be good home and away after is just growing the butthurt and I fricking love it

But I always feel like Big Papi, Frank Thomas, and Pedro Martinez don't hate on them like some of the rest. The journalists HATE us with the fire of 1000 suns.

Leftists love them the two coasts and hate them some Texas.
Of course, if Austin ever got a MLB team, they would do anything and everything to pump them at the expense of Houston.

Chapman threw 30+ pitches in that inning.
Only 2 were FB's for strikes. He couldn't get it over.
He had to throw slider, and Altuve was sitting on it.
I've heard that AB broken down by multiple MLBN contributors that played the game, and there was nothing controversial about it.
So when I see mention like this article, I immediately note the source and disregard their future content.
