A chance at .500 tonight

Rodriguez has been an absolute gas can. Angels 4-0.

Joe Espada is Jeff Fisher?

Did I see where you mentioned your wedding is taking place in Tahoe?
North or South?
North or South?

I’m still thinking about the sound of Yed’s HR in the first inning

Check out Garwood's
A buddy of mine is an owner
All the Woody drinks are good
And that's a great place to get married. Beautiful for sure.
I've spent more time in the South. A week last year. Played Edgewood

If tweet fails to load, click here. He formatted this like trash but the extra numbers are games behind.
Also I don't know how its possible this team is the best in the AL over a 58 game stretch. Like watch a week of these guys and at no point do they give you the impression they're the best in the league for an extended stretch.
Despite playing with the ALs best record for more than half the games that have been played to this point. We still find ourselves sitting below .500. Its a recurring them with Espada and among the reasons I want him tossed out. Every year we seem to absolutely face plant out of the gate. Then get hot in the middle months resulting in a run at the back end of the playoff field. This wimp never gets his team ready to play out of spring.

I would say the exact opposite happened last year which is still bad any way you slice it

Every time I see that the Houston Astros were like 15 games over in mid-July 2025 it stuns me
Ulloa down to activate Wesneski.
Sunday (Imai’s spot) is TBA. Joe was as bluntly negative as he can be about a player yesterday so looks like they may skip/change his role. Apparently he has to accept an assignment and they can’t just send him down

I think we all knew they weren’t as good as that record, but there was some cause for optimism leading into the deadline with the potential to get some trade reinforcements and Yordan among others potentially coming back. Pena came back the day of the deadline or right around it?
It is tough to see this team being good enough to get legitimately hot in August and September. They could play well enough to win this dog shite division, but the talent isn’t there to actually play good baseball for 2 months

Agreed. The pitching has stabilized, but it’s not sustainable.
I think the bullpen is really good. Need a RH arm though. Starters are a ticking time bomb. Have two dudes, two guys off TJ, and two guys who cannot throw strikes.
Offense is largely kind of fine despite the obvious holes. Which means the unit as a whole is due regression.
All that with them kinda winning some fluky games in this stretch kinda smells like there is another wretched streak somewhere on the horizon.
But also the league is awful, a creative FO might could find the pieces to add to compete with the rest of it with the limited resources but nothing about this FO group says the are the ones to do it.

That’s why I am fine with them acquiring someone like McCarthy given it is a reasonable cost. Several years of control and frankly a player like him has been a need for at least three/four years

Wildly we're 9 games above .500 against teams with winning records.
I still would have zero confidence in a playoff run.

Didn’t Nationals and Braves come from the bottom of their divisions the years they beat the Astros in the World Series?
Yea, this team is weak but Im still gonna enjoy a push to the playoffs and a career year for Yordan!
