Having trouble spotting his fastball and his curve doesn't seem to be drawing many chases so far.

Fiers was playing with fire giving nola pitches anywhere close to the zone. wont be surprised if we pitch around him on the secnd time through the lineup

He's gotten several outside strike calls that werent. Meanwhile, fiers has to put the entire balll over the plate.

I am perfectly fine with how that just played out

I was very confident there was going to be a collision ending 1 if not 2 seasons right there

ETA yeah in a meaningful game Fisher has got to be more assertive

Has McCann EVER thrown out anybody trying to steal 2nd? I'm willing to bet all the money that I've got that he's never thrown anybody out in his career.

This may sound dumb...but this is somewhat giving me more confidence in Fiers

Clearly doesn't have his best stuff and is laboring hard, but has been able buckle down and avoid any damage. Now that might have a lot to do with who our opponent is...but still encouraging nonetheless

Y'all are hard to please.

Fiers is on pace for a 213 pitch shutout.
