The Astros’ interest in acquiring left-handed reliever Zach Britton from the Baltimore Orioles was overstated, according to officials with both clubs.

The Astros say they are not shopping Giles, explaining that other teams began inquiring about him after he was demoted on July 11, seeking a bargain; a trade, according to some with knowledge of the club’s thinking, is unlikely. Rival execs, though, offer a different spin, saying the Astros are open to moving Giles — and frankly, why wouldn’t they be, considering his inconsistent performances and emotional outbursts this season?

I wonder what Adam Jones would cost. Got a feeling he would be rejuvenated and come up big in the postseason.

ETA - .155 career postseason average. Still intrigued if cheap.

I believe that's what I said in the second post of this thread.

Okay guys I have to switch from ATT direct tv. I am so tired of the BS. I know this has been talked about 100 times before, but how hard is it to stream the games? I'll pay for it.

I’d do that deal, Alvarez, plus a few intriguing arms.

Nats have any good relievers they can throw in too?

I use reddit's MLB Streams site... if you can screen-cast from your phone or tablet to your TV, it's easy.

I find bilasports to be the best option.

Rondon is obviously the closer right now, if we have such a thing.

My point was why go into a third inning w McHugh on the mound after throwing enough pitches to strike out 4 batters?

His velo was down 3 mph.

Hinch is not stupid. He knew this, yet chose to leave him in. He is not playing to win right now, and that's where I take difference.

Devo had not pitched the past two days, right? Makes it even more odd, except for the fact Hinch is likely playing for October already.
