Bagwell and the Brain Trust during their meeting to decide whether to continue being analytics driven or begin looking at the back of baseball cards for players:

Championships can’t continue to be won by a bunch of nerds. The olds of the DAT best come to terms with that.

We just traded Nate Pearson to the Royals. Probably getting Bobby Witt Jr in return if I had to guess

I’m all for unloading our garbage for as many random prospects as possible

6’5 up to 97 little taller than Blubaugh but both pretty tall and thin. Seems like the org loves tall lanky guys who get good extension

Hughes signed for way under slot, the ND kid signed for a little under slot. Seems like they’ll have the money to push for the 4 HS kids they went after in the later rounds.

Altuve and Cam not starting.
I guess hitting into a triple play has consequences.

That’s three straight nights for him. I get that they’re platooning him and subbing him in, but a young guy (in this case a guy the Astros are counting on to work out) needs to be in the minors working things out, not sitting the bench.

Lamonte hitting cleanup. Just like we all knew it would be all along.

It’s ok guys we’ve won 2 in a row and won the series we can take it easy. I think I’d make Altuve take until he has a strike. See how long it takes the other teams to figure it out.

MLBN broke in live at Daikin during BP a couple nights ago and showed him hitting off a machine. He squared up 5 out of 12 off a machine, fouling and mistiming the other 7

He should spend the rest of the season in Sugar Land. He isn’t going to consistently improve on the major league roster at this point of the year.

Watching the Astros attempt to execute fundamental small ball to manufacture runs is only topped by being waterboarded during toenail removal
