I like him a lot. I also like another rental, Tepera with the Cubs. Either one or both make A LOT of sense.

This means we’ll be making a trade on tomorrow.

FWIW, if you say this, and then do nothing, then you suck at your job.

Surprised you aren't mentioning the Pirates reliever, he shouldn't cost much considering he is 31/32

Stratton? He’s been mentioned before.

Stratton and Rodriguez have both been floated around, but both are also under control for '22 and '23, so probably not as cheap as a rental.

Yeah and Cluck’s comment on wanting to win in the “long term” make me wonder if the Astros are okay with paying the price for a reliever(s) under team control.

I've also seen that the Astros have been asking about Bryan Reynolds from Pittsburgh.

I guess just go get all three of those guys.

for $1.5 million (pick 87 value = $689,300). Nevada HS OF, began tapping into plus raw power this spring (same Bishop Gorman HS as Joey Gallo), strong arm, moves well for 6-ft-4 guy. Arizona recruit.

That explains all of the other picks that were signed way below slot value.

Doing some digging, he was ranked in May as high as 37th best prospect in the draft.

I guess he slid because most teams felt his commitment to Arizona was solid.

Here’s a quick scouting report.

That’s gotta be so frustrating for Lance. Hernandez spoiled a lot of good pitches and then hits the dang bag on a ground ball
