Straw has improved in CF but mother of God he absolutely cannot read a hard hit ball hit right at him. Once he turns his back on a ball, he gets all discombobulated and twists and turns over his shoulder trying to pick up the ball again.

Was listening to 790 one afternoon last week and a caller floated the idea of trading for Mancini, moving Yuli to 3rd while Bregman is out, then moving Mancini to the OF to replace Straw when Bregman returns. Guy didn’t mention who we would give up for him, but instead of entertaining the guy’s question, the crew proceeded to discuss what the caller ordered at Whataburger for the next 15 min. Matt Thomas then made a snarky comment that “Myles Straw is your CF for the rest of the season” and went to commercial.
What do you lads think? Not so much would we do it but COULD we do it?

When you already are down Bregman and Tucker, who have both been systematically “rested” all season, you now toss in Correa, and replace them w 5-6 Ks per game
So when Correa fractures his orbit in his next MMA sparring session, we can rest Bregman and Tucker.
