No Correa, huh?

Thanks, Dusty. Thanks for fricking nothing.

I am glad to see McCormick out of the 2-hole. I know times are changin', but he may be the most anti-2-hole-hitter I have ever seen. We are all better off seeing him in the 7-hole.

You are only allowed to take Springer-like donkey hacks when you have accomplished what Springer has in his career.

Garcia in the 2 hole is worse IMO. Neither belong there

Well I can't argue that.

But I feel like Garcia might at least work the count a little, maybe make some contact, and not swing the bat like a blindfolded kid trying to crush a pinata at a birthday party.

Yeah, the Orioles suck, but we don't have to handicap the lineup to keep it fair.

But then he was replaced in the 2 hole by Robel so we've got 2 of him in the lineup now.

Not sure why you don't hit Toro second at this point.

Such bullshite.

It's like Dusty doesn't love winning streaks. He probably also hates tits and beer.

Per the Houston Chronicle, Dusty Baker said Kyle Tucker could be back “as early as tomorrow.”

And it's not soon enough. I know the Orioles suck, but this lineup with Correa resting looks like it's half the Skeeters!

But get this...Dusty said Tucker could have played tonight but they don't want to risk it because the field is wet.

Good googily moogily. IL because of a stomach bug and they cite field conditions for keeping him out . As seems to be the general consensus, this probably isn’t a Dusty decision but him using that as an excuse just makes it seem worse.

And then “rest” Correa to make matters worse. I am grudgingly resigned to the fact that this is how sports are going to be but what is truly aggravating is how rigid they are about it. Two starters out but by God Correa is getting a day off no matter what. Can’t wait one more day when Ted is back. No flexibility at all. And forget whoever is resting being available to pinch hit in a tight game. No sir. Letting them bat once might keep them out of the playoffs.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the current MLB leader in consecutive games played? I would be shocked if it is over about 150. I know Covid fricked things up to a point, but this trend of resting players started before that.

If Cal Ripken Jr were dead, he would be rolling over in his grave.

Best I can tell it’s Whit Merrifield of the Royals…I can’t seem to find the exact number. But I can tell from Baseball Ref that he hasn’t missed a game since at least 2018.
