Didn’t we have a 9 or 10 game steak last year around the same time?

Seems like it, maybe a little closer to the All Star break?

We had an 11 game winning streak from May 25th to June 5th snapped by the Royals.

Welp the heat got to the kids so we left the hooks game. Cionel wasn’t all that sharp but you can tell he has the stuff to make it.

Hope the streak doesn’t give ludlow false hope. I still think we need another bat and a closer to win it all. And I may be crucified for this, but if we could only have one or the other, I’d take the bat.

I would like a high leverage LH guy. I don’t think we need another bat though.

The need for a bat lessens if Gattis and Marwin continue to hit. They had been pretty crucial holes in the lineup. Big if though as we know they're prone to slumps.

As someone mentioned the other day the bullpen gets a little bit squeezed and we'd have to cut someone or ship them off in a trade to make room

Giles- Not going anywhere. A head case but he's been productive at times and he's cheaply controlled.

Sipp- He was the obvious guy to get cut but he's been pitching really well and is effective against lefties. He's made that a harder decision

Smith- He's still got another year and a half on his contract and after a rough April, had a strong May.

Devo- not going anywhere

Peacock- not going anywhere

Rondon- not going anywhere

Harris- His ERA isn't great but the peripheral stats are much better. He's been a solid reliever the last 3 seasons and is under control for another year

McHugh- I mean you could trade him. Somebody would surely value him as a starter with remaining control. He has been an effective piece for our pen though

We need a big LH power bat. It's not a question. We also need a lock down closer. Not a question. Don't judge our team against shite bag franchises that are in the tank.

Would be pretty surprise if the streak didn’t end with Tampa. We’ve struggled with them big time the last few years (6-7 against them the last 2 seasons)

We do get Cole, JV, and Morton though so it’s def possible

The one bad thing about this well earned stretch is other than a 6 games against Colorado and the angels is we don’t really have anything to truly evaluate ourselves till the deadline. I do think we have something with Rondon but we waited too long to make the switch. Regardless we need a move

I don't think this team needs to make a move enough to overspend on someone. If the value is there then pull the trigger, but any hesitation, roll with who you have, plus the guys on the farm.

Rondon's work as of late has been promising. Interested to see if gatis can keep this going...if so we may be good.

This team did win a world series last year after all.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think it’s wise to count on Gattis keeping up this type of production

Marwin is more likely to sustain his improved hitting than Gattis is imo

This team will not win it all without another bat, IMO...... People keep saying not to give up prospects but the window is open NOW.... I’d rather win another championship or two than keep our prospects and stay “pretty good” for an extra 3-4 yrs. Just me.
