Keep an eye on the Natinals this summer. They're 14-22, playing well below expectations. They could have some parts to sell off if they decide to rebuild.

Scherzer- but that's probably a long shot. He's signed through the 2021 season with salaries of $42 million in both '20 and '21 though a portion of those are deferred until 2028.

Doolittle- Doowant. Hes off to a strong start. Hes got a $6.5 million team option for 2020.

Barraclaugh- reliable strikeout guy, team controlled till 2022.

On the offensive side, Rendon is a free agent to be and they've had troubles trying to work out a long term deal with him. Doesn't make much sense for us but somebody might pay a ransom for him.

Well, for one, I’d like to give some of these bottom guys a chance to either prove they’re good enough to keep or prove they don’t don’t need to be on this roster at all. Everyone in the DAT has their opinion about Tyler White and his place in this organization. But how does the organization justify whether he legitimately should or shouldn’t be on it if hinch plays him once every 3 games? There’s no continuity for any of Marisnick, White, Diaz or Kemp.

We have 7 starters and either Chirinos or Stassi. Why can’t one of the 4 mentioned play the 9th starter for a week straight, regardless of matchup. It’s not like the others won’t get a chance to get In a game somehow during that week.

Rendon is going to be the prime rental on the trade market this year. I honestly wouldn’t be opposed to getting him and figuring out where to play him or Bregman.

Also he grew up in and played his college ball in Houston and has the timeless period hit “Tops Drop” by Fat Pat as his walk up music, so you know he would love playing here even if it were only for a few months

We will probably use our draft capital on an arm but I can dream

I've often questioned Hinch's Stanford education with some of the decisions he makes, but I've never questioned it more than I do now with him benching Brantley. He's probably one odd the hottest hitters in baseball currently. What you doin Hinchy?
