Beltran making things happen

What the frick?
I didn't even know Beltran got to 3rd. They were showing the replay as if he went back to first. I look up and he's scoring.

Not this year, his year, which happens to be OUR year
And if so, great
We get him cheaper
I still want a lefty

Correa has been around for awhile, but is still only 22. Only going to go up from here

He's made 10 starts this year. He is still the same pitcher, which is a fine number 3 type guy. I would much rather get Cole even if it's going to cost a lot more. Everything about Santana's numbers say regression is due. He's striking hitters out a lower rate than he has in his career and walking hitters at a higher rate.
Also the Twins are in first place and aren't dealing Santana if that continues

10 games isn't a big enough sample size for anyone, much less a 34 year old pitcher. The whole his year matching with our year point seems pretty flawed imo, but it's prolly a moot anyway with the twins currently in first place in the central.

The Chapman deal had to seem flawed too, knowing he was going back to the Yankees anyway
There are just so many tea leaves, Tarot cards, signs et al, pointing to the Astros this year that don't be surprised at what the missing piece may be.
Santana over Cole, JMO
Just a hinch, I mean hunch.

Yall know the Twins are in first place right? They're not dealing Santana.

I want a lefty anyway, but if we went righty, I like Santana over Cole

I'm hoping our front office doesn't think like this when making personnel decisions
Chapman has been a dominant closer throughout his career while Santana has a career era of 4.02. That's a horrible comparison.
Cole is a younger pitcher coming into his prime and has much better stuff than Santana

Two extra base hits on 1-2 pitches.

Neither was a bad pitch. Good hitting by both of those guys
