They ain't gonna touch Keuchel either.

0-0 in the 15th, Carter hits a bomb and Gregerson gets em 123 in the bottom half

Just had a look at Kazmir last week. I predict we hang at least 4 on him.

Great pitching matchup. I have three major sporting events I want to watch tonight between this, the Rockets and A&M-LSU, I'll have to divide my time up accordingly

Also I noticed Kazmir is a free agent the last time the 2015-16 FAs were posted. If they stay out of the race for the big guns or lose out on them I think Kazmir would be a great "cheaper" option to look at. He's 31, but he's really had a resurgence with Oakland and I think Strom could do wonders with him. He's also from Houston which would help with signing him

Prediction: They are going to be teammates at the Juice Box next season.

I hope not. He'll be 32 before next season and he hasn't posted an ERA under 3.5 in what, 8 years? And I don't see him giving much of a discount on money nor length since he knows this will be his last shot at one more big contract considering his age.

I wouldn't mind him on our staff, obviously. I just hope they are overly cautious on what they would pay him if he is considered. You can already argue that Dallas & Jabroni are better pitchers than him right now if you are looking at just last years numbers.

Dallas and Jabroni are top of the rotation guys. Appel is going to be a No. 3 or better. I just don't think they are going to pay the money it'll take for a Zimmerman or Price. Adding another rock solid option like Kazmir who I think can be even better under Strom makes the most sense, especially if he gives a little better deal to be in his hometown.

Do I want Price or Zimm? Hell yeah. I just don't see it.

I don't think we necessarily need a number 1 guy added. I think Keuchel is doing a fine job in that role. But I would love a solid 2 or 3 man added. One more good arm makes this rotation extremely salty

I sorta understand the money and agent issues behind why it didnt happen but imagine of you will Rodon and his nasty slider in the rotation this year.

Sounds like nobody wants Josh Hamilton.

Boy...if we had him, we'd have the murderers row of strikeout artists
