Someone’s gotta do it

Flipping Bregs and Tuck to try and “get Bregs going”

Injuries, blah blah blah. Something feels off about this team whereas I was never worried with the 2021-2023. I still hold judgement until we have a healthy pitching staff. But the worry meter is trending upwards unfortunately

Astros GM Dana Brown on Josh Hader: "The fastball is still good. When you look at the back of these guys baseball card, they'll get going. He's going to close out a lot of games."

I was at the game Monday watching Hader warm up and he was throwing the ball all over the place. Something is off with him. Velocity is down as well.

But did you look at the back of his baseball card before you came to that opinion?

quote:

In a follow up,

@SeanUnfiltered

asked “When does the back of the card not matter and I gotta see results now?” Dana Brown: “If a guy starts to freefall you have to hit reset & think through it. If a guy doesn’t hit free fall, you stick with the back of the baseball card.”

We've gone from an analytically driven approach to evaluate players to doing nothing and saying "look at their baseball card" when they're struggling. Thanks Jim.

I’m down with shipping Tucker, Bregman and Verlander to Detroit for half of Detroit’s farm.

It would be nice to hold a lead for more than half of an inning

This pitching staff all sits down to piss for fear of losing their peckers if they tried to hold it.

You really enjoy when your best hitter follows up a leadoff 4 pitch walk with a first pitch double play.

I've only watched a few games so far but I'm not sure I've seen us get a hit with RISP.

Ballsy by Bregman to swing at a 3-0 pitch the way he's been hitting this season. Glad it paid off
