In that situation, he should probably be bunting to the left side just to advance the runners and hope maldy can get lucky.

8 & 9 are a bottomless pit. Greinke is a better hitter than Straw

You can work around one, especially a good defensive C, but two is debilitating

Give Chas a shot

Maybe the home crowd should all boo. Make them think it's a road game.

The stats might contradict me. I don’t know. It just seems to me that we struggle more than we should to get offensive production at home. It’s like this ballpark is not suited for the type of hitters we have in the lineup.

Oh I’m sure our record and stats are very good over the years overall, but there are these ruts we get in where you just know we are going to struggle to push runs across. I had very little confidence coming home against the Nats two years ago because we had not hit well at home the entire playoffs. Had a couple of big hits and that made the difference against NY but nothing like we were capable of.

CK found the middle of the plate more in that start than he has in the last 3...just a bad performance overall.

Astros have the best road record in consecutive seasons in the history of the game

They have had better offensive production on the road for years, and better pitching at home

This team tonight is suffering from everyone knowing they were going to have Sunday off. They checked out Friday, waiting for the last out on a Sat afternoon game

Still haven’t returned

Garcia looks damn sharp.

I know Odorizzi has working up to about 90 pitches but this is pretty nice to have Garcia throwing quality baseball and keeping the pen a full go for the rest of the series in case they need to be used early tomorrow.

Feel like the Astros didn’t get a very good scouting report on Mize, but he’s also been incredibly sharp. That tumbling split is pretty nasty and he’s spotted 97-98 on the corners a couple time. Don’t think he’s been behind in the count much. Sucks arse that the best scoring opportunities both came with the black hole up.

And here comes another RISP opportunity for Straw and Maldy great

They seem more relaxed on the road. More patience, better situational hitting. I swear we can’t hit a sac fly at home to save our life.

Yuli and Tucker were the only ones to show up to work tonight. And every time the started something here come Straw and Maldy to piss on it.
