Great call, I'd forgotten Yuli hurt his hand/wrist.

That sort of explains the lack of lift and, he was sort of babying the barrel through the zone which lead to a lot of that soft contact in September/October

@brianmctaggart
Carlos Correa says if he's getting a contract extension, it should happen before season starts. There are no talks right now, he said.

"I'm not scared of free agency," he said. "I feel like I belong here. They have to feel the same way."

@AdamJWexler
#Astros @TeamCJCorrea talking about the prospects of large FA class of SS coming up after the season if he's a part of it, said he'll be the youngest one out there & he's a guy that could shift to 3B if that's necessary, even here w/ the Astros. Said he likes playing 3B.

Carlos Correa just spoke with reporters via Zoom for the first time this spring training. Among other things, he said no contract extension negotiations have taken place yet and that Yordan Alvarez “looks really sexy.”

Y’all remember AJ’s first season in Houston? He had a different lineup pretty much every day.

This season, who posts more different lineups in the first 60 games: AJ in Detroit or Dusty in Houston?

I think it would be great to have a deal done before the season for Correa, but I just don't see it happening.

Unless he would consider a small hometown discount, there's no advantage to the Astros

If they're gonna have to pay top dollar, might as well do it after he proves he can play a full season injury free and at the same time have that carrot dangling, keeping his motivation up

Correa would be well served to cash in now before July when he hits the IL for his annual ridiculous injury followed by his back flare up in August.

I'll set the line at AJ +4.5 lineups.

@SportsTalk790
James Click says that the Astros wanted to wait to get to camp before starting talks with Correa. Notes that team wants to have these conversations face to face.

I’ve tried to put as much as I can away from last season, but I’m remembering that Ted played pretty well, looking forward to a good season from him, and Yed also
