He's been shopped and mention in trade circles for awhile.

The downside of him (and why he doesn't really fit the Royals needs) is he turns 32 in January.

Two huge pluses are his versatility including a solid CF and his insanely team-friendly contract:

What do you think we would have to give?

Javier, Garcia, Whitley, and a promising single A OFer?

Or will the market be softer now?

Joe Musgrove on the block... with needing outfielders, does the Front Office try to strike a deal to bring Joe home?

Would love to have him back for depth. What non-talents can the AntiLuhnow give the Pirates?

If Crane and Manfred did what is alleged, he should get every cent. Then we can move on to opening the sealed letters.

Luhnow suing for what he's owed has no correlation with free agency and anyone who suggests that is a dumbass.

There’s a lot of good relief free agency options for the teams willing to spend on them. Would love to see Hand or Treinen in an Astros uniform

That's way too much for Whit. I mean, his age and lack of real power hurts his market value. Compare to the worst trade ever for us, when Gomez was younger at 29 and also came with the traitor who was a valuable back-end starter. Not sure what it would take though. Depends on the market.

Knowing KC though, they'll just keep him like Gordon and regret it later.

Anyone thinking the Astros cheating scandal did not take a toll on the players performance this past season and ultimately will have an impact on if players want to remain close to said scandal has their heads way too far buried in the sand, or up Ryno's arse.

Well then it goes without saying that I am in favor of what it takes to get him to Houston

Way too much.

Whitley is the wild card, but if teams are still high on him then maybe a Whitley/Abreu/Dawson sort of deal.

Without knowing anything about Dawson, I would jump on that for Whitt, which tells me it would take more

Without looking at his numbers, I know anytime the Royals had success, he was always in the middle of it.

QABs from that guy

What are the chances we get Brantley to sign a 2-year deal?

I'm saying -130, or 66 percent.

Astros might get Brantley at 2 yr 24 or 26 mill. That's it. No chance on springer or Bradley. Get used to mediocrity.

Agree, that’s too much. It would cost pitching capital for sure though. Doubt the Royals move him.

I'd trade Whitley and Yordan for him, you give up an underperforming but highly rated talent and one that is on a DH and possibly injury prone for a chance to improve the club. Resign Brantley so he can DH and JBJ for defense in the OF with Tucker. Move Altuve to a corner spot and let Whit play 2B.

@MarkBermanFox26
Sources: The #Astros have reached an agreement with the ownership of the Sugar Land Skeeters to name the @SL_Skeeters their Triple-A affiliate. The Astros will also have an ownership stake in the Skeeters franchise.
